Confirmed: Fortnite is getting an iOS and Android release

Yes that’s right, you will soon be able to play the ever popular battle royale game Fortnite on your mobile device, confirmed on Fortnite’s Twitter feed, you will be able to have the same experience on mobile as you do on the consoles and PCs.

This news will surely get some parents running for their pitchforks while others like myself will welcome the news as another innovation in gaming. Epic have said that the game will support cross play and cross progression across Xbox, PS4, PC, Mac, iOS and eventually Android.

As of this coming Monday (12th March) you will be able to sign up at www.fortnite.com to the invite event where once invited you will be able to download the game from the app store. Don’t worry if you aren’t lucky enough to recieve an invite straight away as more invites will be sent out in coming weeks.

Players who receive invites from Epic will also get friend invite codes to share with others.

You will need to be connected to the internet and be running iOS 11 on at least an iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 or 2017 iPad devices.
