Dragon’s Lair Trilogy is Coming To Switch

Digital Leisure has announced that Dragon’s Lair Trilogy, a collection of games they have released over the years on Wii and PlayStation 4, will now be making it’s way to the Nintendo Switch.

The collection will launch on the eShop on January 17th and will include Dragon’s Lair, Dragon’s Lair 2: Time Warp, and Space Ace.

At last, the Dragon’s Lair Trilogy is headed to the Nintendo Switch! Next week, you can experience these beautifully animated arcade classics for yourself anytime, anywhere – no matter where you play! Available January 17th on the Nintendo eShop. https://t.co/TWeykifP2I

For those unfamiliar with these games, you do very little in terms of gameplay and are simply along for the ride while beautiful animations take place to tell a story, you simply interact with Quick Time Events.

The first Dragon’s Lair tells the classic tale of a knight as he tries to save a princess while overcoming a dragon. You take on the role of Dirk the Daring, the knight, and see his journey to the Princess Daphne.

The second Dragon’s Lair follows in similar footsteps with the now married couple in peril and Dirk the Daring having to save his wife Princess Daphne.

Space Ace is about the Ace, self given nickname of Dexter, and his need to save his kidnapped partner Kimberly and save Earth from a Infanto Ray that would change everyone into infants and leave them helpless.
