Far Cry 5 Season Pass is beautifully bonkers

Ubisoft have revealed the content that will be included in the season pass of Far Cry 5. So far this is only available in the Gold Edition of the game, but will be released separate upon the actual release, March 27th 2018. For £70 or $90 you can preorder the bundle right now on PS4 and Xbox One. The development team has been uber creative with this season pass, and it definitely deserves some attention.

Thats right, this is no bland, quick cash in, by the numbers, story expansion downloadable content. Dead Living Zombies will be set in a zombie infested wasteland and will require players to face of against undead hordes. Pack two, Hours of Darkness features a trip to Vietnam; very different from Far Cry 5’s rural America, and will see players going head to head with the Viet Cong. The final pack announced so far takes players even further than the East. Where? Space believe it or not. Lost on Mars will stick you in a spacesuit and send you off to fight against giant Martian spiders on Earth’s red neighbor. All of these sound like they’ll have the distinct, ‘B-movie’ feel that made the Far Cry 3 expansion; Blood Dragon, so beloved by the gaming community.

Speaking of Far Cry 3, the classic game will be released in Summer 2018 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. PC players will have access to the full game, console players will only get the single player content. As an extra bonus to season pass purchasers they will have access to Far Cry 3: Classic Edition four weeks earlier than everyone else when it eventually gets its release date.
