At Microsoft’s E3 press conference, two expansions were shown for Sea Of Thieves. One released back in July titled Cursed Sails and the other has been fully unveiled at this year’s Inside Xbox event at Gamescom titled Forsaken Shore and set to release September 19th.
While there are many different opinions over Rare’s beautiful open sea pirate adventure, the Forsaken Shore expansion looks promising. The DLC will bring a volcanic area to the map called Devil’s Roar and will offer players more dangers on the sea. This new island can erupt and cause the water to rise in temperatures so high that players will be boiled, thus introducing a new gameplay element to the world: The rowboat.

Also coming with the expansion is a new vendor who will offer Cargo Runs and these merchant missions will have players taking items from point A to point B while dealing with the turbulent waters and devious pirates.
