Microsoft and Samsung Form Strategic Marketing Deal

Xbox fans have wondered for some time now when Microsoft will step up the marketing game. Well recently we’ve started to see some of that rev up.

A promotional deal with Taco Bell kicked in at the beginning of the month that gives away an Xbox One X every ten minutes via entry codes given on a $5 box meal.

Now it has been announced that Microsoft and Samsung will be partnering to provide the best way to show off both the One X and the new Samsung line of QLED TVs.
At various Xbox and Samsung marketing locations this Fall you will find the One X paired with a QLED TV to show off the console’s glory on the best possible display, giving potential buyers a true 4k and HDR experience to make their buying decision.

We all know the power of the Xbox One X(4k, HDR, high end graphics) but what is this QLED technology and why should you care?

QLED
Basically QLED uses something called Quantum Dots to provide over a billion colors you could see on screen, with the greater range of colors your get much more true-to-life detail and combined with High Dynamic Range, which enhances those details through providing better lighting and contrast, you’ve got one incredible viewing experience.

On top of the display technology the Samsung QLED also has Smart Hub which will automatically recognize Xbox One when plugged in and optimize audio and visual settings for gaming when the user turns on Game Mode.

It’s a really smart deal for both sides as Xbox One X presents games in 4k and utilizes HDR, allowing the Samsung QLED TVs to show off their true capabilities. It’s also great for the gamer because you get the best demonstration of what the console or TV you’re interested in can provide.

If you’re willing to dish out a pretty penny(currently the cheapest model is on sale for $1,799), it’s really looking like this could be the perfect tech combo for gamers to get the ultimate One X gaming experience.

I’ll be looking to find one of these marketing displays and try both out for myself. In the meantime, if you’d like to check out more about the Samsung QLED TVs you go to the official site.

Have your say!
