Nintendo Switch Lite has been revealed

It’s just your average, casual Wednesday and Nintendo has decided that they would drop massive, E3 worthy news without a second thought. I mean, why not? Today Nintendo has announced the Nintendo Switch Lite, a cheaper variant to their widely popular console that’s been setting records.

Nintendo Switch Lite

At $199.99, the console comes in three colors: Grey, Yellow, and Turquoise. The console also differs from the original in many ways. The Nintendo Switch Lite offers no Labo support, there are no detachable Joy-Cons, no HD Rumble, and the console can not be used on the television. That’s right, the concept that’s made the console so successful isn’t an option on this smaller variant. On the bright side, there is a new D-Pad.

Bowser, not the antagonist from the Mario series but the other one, has confirmed there is work being done to transfer data and content from one Switch console to another. You can pick up the Nintendo Switch Lite on September 20th, which is the same day as the remake of Link’s Awakening. For those Pokémon lovers out there, a limited edition console designed for Pokémon Sword and Shield will launch on November 8th.
