Game Director Yu Suzuki has made all our worries realty that the highly anticipated Shenmue 3 has been delayed until 2019. This won’t come as a surprise to most as many speculate this was the case due to the silence surrounding the development of the game. The following is a statement from Mr. Suzuki and Deep Silver:
With an already stacked year of releases, it’s probably best this game comes out in 2019 so that it doesn’t get lost in the shuffle. Shenmue fans will have to be a little more patient and to remember Shigeru Miyamoto’s infamous quote:
On the bright side, the first two Shenmue games will release this year as a package for Xbox One, PS4, and PC and you’ll have plenty of time to play through them while learning the story and what makes them magical and prepare for the 3rd entry.
