Detroit: Become Human initially was believed to maybe have fallen short due to early reports coming from the UK. Initially it was said that Detroit sold about as many copies in the UK as the game’s predecessor Beyond: Two Souls did in the UK, making it not as successful as Quantic Dreams most popular title Heavy Rain. Heavy Rain initially sold over 4 times as many copies in the UK as Detroit did. However, based on comments made from David Cage it does seem like Detroit was very popular in other markets.
David Cage recently spoke in an interview shared by JeuxActu and shared that Detroit: Become Human is the studios largest launch. This means that Detroit did outsell Heavy Rain’s initial launch using the worldwide numbers. He did elaborate a bit that they do already have some early figures but that it was too soon to make any formal announcement at this time.
David Cage also said that Quantic Dreams is working hard on several projects at this time. Likely they are working on new prototypes to bring to PlayStation and pitch their new ideas. I for one cannot wait to see what David and team are cooking up next. Detroit: Become Human is out now on the PlayStation 4 and you can purchase it by clicking here for $59.99.
