Arc System Works Announces New Fighting Game Tournament: ArcRevo World Tour!

Featured Multi-platform News

There was a time where Capcom was the king of creating fighting games and the Street Fighter series stood at the top of the genre. However, controversial DLC practices and poorly received games like Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite have left them somewhat vulnerable. Arc System Works has been known as a developer who could craft excellent fighting games but it wasn’t until Dragon Ball FighterZ that they achieved global recognition.

Now that they’ve released various successful fighting games and have placed themselves as a real threat to Capcom and others, Arc System Works announced ArcRevo World Tour. This new fighting game tournament will take place in the fall of this year and have the finals take place a year from then in 2019. The finals are set to take place in Los Angeles, with qualifying matches taking place all around the world.

Games that are featured will be: Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, BlazBlue Central Fiction, and BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle. Various gifts and prices are up to win, with a 100K grand prize. Arc System Works has earned the ability to have their own tournament to showcase their wonderful games. This also will breathe life into the older titles and keep their latest title healthy with fresh competition.
