Dragon Quest XI features a costume from fan favorite Dragon Quest VIII, available for free to all players at launch!

Dragon Quest VIII is a game that lives in infamy. Why? A myth, a wonderful story that claims 2 million people missed work in Japan on the game’s release date. I love that. Gaming being so powerful as to literally impact a full country’s workforce. I wrote about it right here. Square Enix are taking one more step to ensuring the game’s legacy never falters by including a reference in the upcoming Western release of Dragon Quest XI.

Right away the Trodain Bandana and Trodain Togs will be available in your inventory and equitable to the main character. They’ll even give you a boost to your defense in the early sections of the game. One more bonus is the recipe book, Trodain’s Top Trends, which will allow you to upgrade the costume as the game progresses.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age launches September 4th on PS4 and Steam!
