Fighting EX Layer Getting Updates & Crossover DLC?!

Arika has been riding a wave of success with the release of the wonderful Fighting EX Layer. To continue on with the positivity, they debuted a new trailer at EVO showcasing the upcoming plans for the game.

The trailer first shows the next two characters joining the roster: The exotic Middle Eastern heiress Pullum Purna and Italian fighter Vulcano Rosso! The trailer also showcases two very different but equally gorgeous stages to fight upon. All of this set to come to PlayStation 4 sometime between the end of August and September.

Also announced, and one of my major gripes with fighting games not including it was one of the most prestigious modes in fighting games: Arcade Mode. No word on when this update will come but there will be a limited North American release in arcades.

The most surprising announcement from this reveal trailer that came from out of nowhere was the reveal of Terry Bogard from SNK coming to Fighting EX Layer. In those game, he will come as his traditional male unlike in the recently announced appearance in SNK HEROINES: Tag Team Frenzy where the character will be depicted as a female for the first time ever.

Then, finally, at the end of the trailer, a brief tease at the future DLC characters was shown with glimpses of Area and Sharon. With Pullum Purna and Vulcano Rosso coming as a free update and with Fighting EX Layer currently having an EVO sale, now is the perfect time to pick up the game!
