As part of the Road Ahead content update, it’s Gears of War 4 first birthday and The Coalition is celebrating in a major way.

 

Starting off, we have worldwide double XP with “Horde” and “Versus” modes perfect for those who have the “Seriously Year One” emblem in their sights, this will run up to 16th October. We also have the chance to get our hands on commemorative Golden Gear packs containing golden character and gun skins, these are priced at 400 credits and the first run of these will be available until 13th October then we have another chance from 20th October for a short period.

 

Also announced is the return of Golden Gun mode, for those of you who have not heard of this mode (I believe there are some!) it is an intense cat and mouse mode where you have one shot at your enemy, miss your shot and you have a long time to try again leaving you vulnerable to your foes.
