Details on the second fighter pack for Injustice 2 has been revealed and here are your next fighters to test your skills with and against.
One of the first new characters revealed is an enemy from the Aquaman series. He’s a pretty awesome character who wants to gain control of Atlantis, control of the ocean, and to beat Aquaman.
He isn’t tour run of the mill villain either. The man got a serum to cure his autism that granted him mote strength and endurance but at the cost of making him violent. He’s also a genius (a serum!) Because he’s made most of, if not all, his equipment and sick looking battle suit.
Everything about the character screams cool and intimidating. He’s also a pretty obscure character to the general, casual, audience. Yes, he has made some appearances in animated films but never anything really centered around him. This is a great way for DC and the audience to familiarize themselves with this antagonist as he’s set to make his first live action film debut when Aquaman hits theaters in 2018.
If you’ve read the comics, you should be excited on the gameplay possibilities. If you haven’t, let me be the first to tell you that something pretty damn cool is coming.
I think by now we all know who Hellboy is. He’s had movies, comics, and even a few games of his own. For those who don’t know who he is, let’s give a brief summary.
A cult of Nazis summon a demon but before they could truly use him for their own ambitions, he is found by the allied forces and taken in by a professor. So, what do you do with a large red demon with intimidating features? Make him a detective who hunts demons and Nazis.
Out of all the characters revealed, this one is the most surprising. Hellboy is different and making his fighting game debut. Couple that with NetherRealm’s track record and the clean slate a brand new fighter brings, well, the possibilities are endless and exciting.
This character is the most confusing and unexpected. He is also the most polarizing since this announcement. Raiden we all know as a Mortal Kombat original who has appeared in all releases. What makes him unexpected is that we already have a Mortal Kombat rep in Sub-Zero.
Many believed the slot to be open for another third party, non DC, character like Spawn. With MKX’s release still fresh for the series and Raiden being in there, I can see the argument of opposition to this reveal. As a Mortal Kombat fan, I’m excited to see what gameplay changes and gear enhancements the character will receive.
There you have it, your next 3 characters for Injustice 2. 3 are still left to be revealed and these new characters are included in the Ultimate Edition of the game.
