Monolith Soft is recruiting for a new Zelda project

Breath of the wild sequel?

The studio currently owned by Nintendo, Monolith Soft, has created a page on their website advertising for roles to work on a new Legend of Zelda title, you can find it here. It includes roles for designers and technical artists.

The studio has previous experience working on the franchise, having been heavily involved in support developing on Breath of the Wild. The aforementioned is one of 3 teams, the above being the largest based on Tokyo. The 2nd team in Kyoto is also support for other Nintendo franchises, while the 3rd is the Xenoblade team.

As reported by gamesindustry.biz, the developer is working on another title in addition to the Zelda project, which is currently unknown.

No one can say for sure whether this hints at a full ramp up for a Breath of the Wild sequel, but being the best selling entry in the franchise history with 12 million copies sold, it’s safe to assume it’s very possible.
