Onimusha: Warlords Remastered Coming To All Consoles This January!

In a surprise announcement that no one saw coming, Capcom has revealed that one of the defining experience of the Sony PlayStation 2 would be making a triumph return this upcoming January on PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. On the 15th of January Onimusha: Warlords will be remastered and will be released digitally only in Europe, with other regions getting a physical version with the exception for PC and Nintendo’s hybrid console. The remaster will cost $19.99.

All the typical tropes accompanying a remaster will be present in this release: HD graphics, Widescreen Support and new display options, Screen scrolling feature, analog stick support, new soundtrack, and the option to start the game with easy mode. These are welcomed editions, especially the analog support because the movement of the original release wasn’t exactly a smooth transition.

It’s been a while since Capcom has even acknowledged the series and every so often fans grow with hope at an announcement when the trademark is renewed. Fans have finally been satisfied with this, hopefully, the beginning of a sign that more may be coming for the franchise. I for one and hopefully the remaining entries can come over and, perhaps, this will lead to a new entry.

With that being said, what do you think about all of this? Excited for Oninusha’s return? Favorite entry in the series? Let us know down below and remember to follow The Loot Gaming for all your gaming news and reviews!
