Blizzard has officially launched its Halloween Terror seasonal event for Overwatch. The event began on October 9th and allows players to earn Halloween themed loot boxes. Junkenstein’s Revenge, one of Overwatch’s most notorious PvE experiences returns and the long awaited Torbjorn rework is officially live.
Overwatch’s 8v8 free for all map, Château Guillard (pictured above) received a Halloween themed makeover and now resembles a haunted mansion, complete with floating candles, Reaper’s coffin, and Dr. Junkenstein’s work bench.
What would an Overwatch event be without new skins? Halloween Terror brings back beloved skins from the past event and adds some new ones for players to enjoy. Pharah, Moira, Doomfist, Wrecking Ball, McCree, Sombra, Mei, and Soldier 76 all received spooky new skins for this year’s event.
This year, Tracer and Brigitte are playable characters in this year’s version of Junkenstein’s Revenge. Like last year, there are two versions of the PvE game mode: Classic and Endless Night. Unfortunately, there are no major differences from last year’s but the mode is still quite fun.
