Splatoon Expected To ‘Shock The World’

Nintendo’s team based colorful shooter Splatoon & Splatoon 2 have been very financially successful for Nintendo and beloved by fans, the sequel has sold over 6 million copies in just a hair over a year, see our review, and there is no signs of stopping. Nintendo’s decision to constantly drop free content over the year has proved fruitful for them and they’ve recently announced a new, paid, expansion.

Nintendo has teased an upcoming announcement for the Splatoon franchise and brand, being touted that it will ‘Shock The World’. Seeing as it doesn’t seem to be related to Splatoon 2, as the announcement would have included the sequels numerical value , and popular Japanese Manga magazine ‘Jump’ is where the announcement was revealed further shows it doesn’t seem gaming related.

What this shows is that Splatoon 2 is getting a Battle Royale mode. I’m kidding.

If we have to seriously speculate, I’m guessing Splatoon is getting an anime series or film. We’ll know for sure on June 9th, before E3 and Splatoon 2’s World Championships tournament.

More importantly, what do you think? Anime? Manga? Battle Royale? Let us know down below and stick with The Loot Gaming!

Oh, and did that Splatoon 2 expansion release date seemingly leak?
