Time to ‘cure futuristic hangovers’ in this Born Punk gameplay demo

Point & Click with a side of choices.

Step aside Cyberpunk 2077, there’s a new robo-sheriff in town. Well, to be honest, she’s half cyborg and, as far as I’m concerned, she’s not a sheriff, but you know what I mean. Anyway, back on track: the Cyberpunk aesthetic is something that I always found quite nice and pleasant to the eyes, yet I don’t see many devs exploit this visual style. Thankfully, the people at Insert Disk 22 are fond of this trend too, yet they wanted to do it in a more pixelated way. And in a Point & Click title, something even more interesting. Take a look at this Born Punk gameplay demo to see it with your own eyes:

Born Punk is a title created by Falko von Falkner, the founder of Insert Disk 22. As he states on his website, Born Punk wants to be a title that doesn’t fall in the usual tropes of this gaming genre:

“Born Punk is a game in the style of the 80s and 90s point & click classics like Monkey Island, Gabriel Knight and Beneath A Steel Sky, that wants to deliver an intriguing storyline and logical, non-outlandish puzzles – which admittedly, were a bane of ye olden games.”

The important and most relevant feature (aside from the visuals) is that Born Punk has different ways to solve puzzles, which will also have logical solutions. This may sound dumb, but when you try to solve a really cryptic puzzle of old school Point & Click titles only to find out that the answer was completely insane, the Insert Disk 22 approach to this genre is not that bad.

If you are interested in this title, mark February 5th in your calendar, because that’s the day the Kickstarter sees the light. And of course, stay tuned for more info regarding Born Punk here at TheLootGaming. And if you are bored share a thought about your opinion regarding this game! Or don’t, I’m not a cop… I think.

Have your say!
