Xbox Third Party Marketing Rumors Reveal Major Upcoming Games

Via @RectifyGaming on Twitter we have one of the first massive pre-E3 rumors. Microsoft have apparently secured some brilliant marketing deals. The games included are:

  • Anthem
  • Battlefield V
  • Borderlands 3
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Madden
  • Splinter Cell

The most interesting thing here is that at least two of these six games are unannounced and at least one other has not had a proper reveal.

Battlefield V, Splinter Cell and Madden are all yet to be officially announced; although the yearly Madden game is a certainty.

Borderlands 3 has been announced but nothing has been shown outside of some early concept art. Likewise Cyberpunk 2077 has only had a short teaser trailer.

What do the marketing deals mean though outside of unveiling some cool new games? Well all of these games will be guaranteed strong Xbox One X support.

Based on how incredible The Witcher 3 already looks, Cyberpunk 2077 should be mind-blowing. They are also likely to have exclusive content, Anthem could see missions or equipment available on Xbox One only; much like Destiny on PS4. Battlefield V will have DLC packs, these could be timed exclusives on Xbox One like Call of Duty’s Map Packs on PS4.

Commercially all these games are likely to be featured in Xbox One adverts, and their own adverts will feature Xbox One. Considering Playstation has made huge progress with these deals this gen, including juggernauts like FIFA and Call of Duty, it is interesting to see Xbox fighting back.

Rectify Gaming do say there is more information to be shared, but the link to the story is currently timing out. If we learn more we’ll be sure to update the article.

For now feel free to check out further evidence that a new Splinter Cell game is inbound, or a review of Xbox One’s biggest game of 2018 so far. For all your E3 news, rumors and review, keep your eye on thelootgaming.com.
