Howdy partners, gaming gods Rockstar Games have finally revealed that the widely anticipated sequel to 2010’s Red Dead Redemption will release worldwide on October 26th 2018. On a post on their website they showed off some beautiful new screenshots for the Western epic and issued an apology to fans disappointed about the game’s delays claiming that they require a little extra time for polish. If the Scottish based developer’s track record is anything to go by then that time will be put to great use and we’ll surely be in for another critically acclaimed treat just like Grand Theft Auto 5, Bully and the original Red Dead Redemption. Considering the epic success of GTA5; over 85 million copies have been sold and GTA online alone has raked in over $1 billion, this trip to the Wild West will surely feature a large online component.
I loved the original Red Dead Redemption, it scored a near perfect 95 on Metacritic and I left a Maths exam early in High School and used a fake ID to buy a copy for me and a friend. Luckily I won’t have to do that this time! For now though we have these excellent screenshots to pore over, and the developer has promised to share a lot more information in the coming weeks so stay tuned to thelootgaming.com for all your Red Dead Redemption 2 related news!
