Halo backwards compatibility, Xbox One X preorders online, Red Dead 2 trailer announced, South Park goes gold.

Halo games available through backwards compatibility

After a long wait, and little surprise, Microsoft announced that Halo:CE (disc only), Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4 are all available through the company’s backward compatibility program. Plans are currently in the works to release the original Halo: CE digitally in the coming weeks, and it would be safe to assume that Halo 2 will find its way onto Xbox One via the Original Xbox backwards compatibility program coming later this year.

Xbox One X console preorders go online.

Microsoft also announced this week that pre-orders for the world’s most powerful console are now available through a series of online retailers. This announcement comes only weeks after the initial preorders were snapped up in a matter of days.

Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer teased

Rockstar Games’ Twitter account teased the launch of a new trailer for the highly anticipated sandbox westerner Red Dead Redemption 2, scheduled to hit the ‘netwaves at 11 a.m. EST on Thursday, September 28. Mark your calendars!

South Park goes gold

Upcoming sequel South Park: The Fractured But Whole has gone gold, and will be available to play on October 17, 2018. The sequel to the successful Stick of Truth features the same style of RPG style gameplay, and focuses this time on the superhero genre, complete with all the expected South Park send ups.
