For some time now we have seen the inclusion of women in sports games; we’ve had Woman’s football teams in FIFA and last year NBA Live had a WNBA roster to play with, but this year NBA Live 19 will break further ground by allowing users to create a female character for the first time. This can then be used in The One mode as you travel the globe rising to the top.
This is a tremendous step forward for equality and representation integrating us all as one, which to be fair, it was about time.
So hats off to EA for this inclusion since due to the continued rise of WNBA and the popularity of the sport growing in young females, it was only a matter of time this was included as part of the game. As a fan of the series I look forward to see what more is included in this next installment of the franchise.
